Considerable changes are under way in the field of human reproduction. 


I have the honor of pioneering this NEW ERA at our institution for the benefit of all the couples affected by some form of reproductive dysfunction.  There is no better time to emphasize that a new stage is now emerging in assisted human reproduction.

Methods currently used to stimulate follicular growth and ovulation in infertile patients are far too aggressive and costly.  We now offer a different way to help people cope with, and treat their fertility issues.

It consists of three techniques designed to prepare the oocytes for fertilization.  Together with P-ICSI (selection of the best spermatozoon), these three techniques will result in better quality fertilization and embryo development.

With each of these approaches it will be possible to avoid the use of large doses of recombinant or urine gonadotrophins.  In this way, Cecolfes, with its team of scientific and administrative staff, is taking a giant leap towards a change that will make these technologies more readily available to people of all income levels because costs will drop by 50 per cent.  It is important to believe in this new proposition because it is time to think in what is absolutely the best for the patients and thus make a contribution to the growth of families and homes in Colombia and the rest of the world.  It is a very welcome treatment option and it is our starting point.  More
